The End is NIGH

Or rather, it has arrived, for the moment anyways. The end of what you ask? Actually you don't ask because you can't respond while reading this (that's gonna get misinterpreted). Also, you already know damn well what's ended and that is school. I picked up my report card yesterday. Heh, I got 53% in CALM and 61% on the PMAT 20 final. Do I win or do I win? It's odd, I used to worry a lot about marks and then I guess I decided that they didn't matter, and now's when i start getting some crappy marks. I reiterate the SOME part because Math and CALM are the only bad one. 95% in Social and 85% in English. 86% and 80% in Chem and Physics respectively. 85% in Musical Theatre. It's all good.

And so with the end of school comes the beginning of Summer, which actually came a bit ago. And with summer comes me staying up 'til 5ish every morning reading and computering and the like. Also it brings me doing nothing productive (I've had a list to do for about a week and nothing on it has yet been done). Though I do have a few (read: two) things planned for this summer. I'm going to a drama camp in a few (read: two) weeks and that's been fun the past two years so I'm sure it will be again this year despite the fact that this year we're doing Twelfth Night and my ability to understand Shakespeare is minimal. *Berates self for griping* Yes, no more griping.

In other news: J.K. Rowling has announced that the title of the sixth Harry Potter novel will be Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince rather than Harry Potter and the Pillar of Storgé or Harry Potter and the Toenail of Icklibögg both of which had been rumoured as well as Harry Potter and the Green Flame Torch and Harry Potter and the Mountain of Fantasy (where do they get these). It has also been said that the seventh and final novel will be entitled Harry Potter and the Fortress/Forest of Shadow. My money, however will be on Harry Potter and the Icicle of Light which I have gleaned from reliable sources.

Basta! Enough of this Potter crap though. I'm going to go do something pointless, like play Neopets for 3 hours.

Por la Mañana

It's Saturday morning and I'm awake and out of bed before 11:15. My mum and my sister are off on some Natural Area hike, so I would be watching Queer as Folk except that I don't know where my brother is, and his door is closed which means he's probably in there sleeping. Why was nobody on MSN last night? I guess some people have excuses but it was angry. I actually went to bed before one o'clock. On a Friday night! For god's sake. Bah, whatever, stop being a whiny bitch Colin.

Yay

I went in to school today. I went in to school for one period. One solitary 70 minute period in which we did nothing I couldn't have done at home. Fucking communist universe. Moving on. This morning I finished "General Outcome #1" of my CALM reflections. Just need to finish the other twom which is probably about another hour of typing, but the way I type (with lots of breaks) it's more likely to take me 3 or 4 hours. At the moment, however, I am not doing my CALM reflections. No, right now I'm actually doing my lit response. Taking a break from writing my lit response to come write this, if you want to get technical about it. But to sum it up, today has not been terribly productive. I did manage to watch three episodes of Queer as Folk today, much to my amusement and annoyance simultaneously. As a side note to Keilah, who is never online anymore leaving this as the only way I can be certain of her finding out, I cannot find any costume piece I would use for Galadriel. And no, I am not going to wear a dress. I have my cape'n'hood for Aragorn. Alright, moving on. I have nothing else to say, do I? Nope, not that I know of. Well alright, I updated Lost and Found at http://www.fictionpress.com/~kolynmikalson so go read it and mock me for writing such utter drivel. Or just mock me here for writing this utter drivel.

Francis

So, today instead of using the better computer, Charlie, I was using Francis. My mum said she was going to be doing her editing all day, and she does the editing on Charlie. Quite naturally, as with everytime that she warns she'll need to the computer at a specified time, she wasn't using the computer at that time, she wasn't even bloody home most of the day.

On Francis, meanwhile, something has gone weird with the image files, their icons have all changed and I can't open them with the regular Image Viewer program. After an hour of trying to fix it I finally got fed up and left, restarting Francis and sitting down at Charlie to write this. And now, I have come to a conclusion. Francis is entirely too old and needs to be replaced or upgraded. Of course if my family heard me say that they would say, "Well the computer is younger than you, do you need to be replaced?" to which I wish I could reply, "Burn in hell you self-centered hypocritical bastard!" but never do say that.

Oh dear.

I seem to have a lot to do in a rather short period of time. First of all We have our spanish project on tuesday, which will be amusing but nervifying because I haven't rehearsed at all and I doubt I will. I really hate being unprepared. Second, I have to write a literature response. I will do that tomorrow when I get home. Focus on lit response and not let myself do anything 'til I'm done. (Like that's gonna bloody happen.) And then I have to do my CALM this weekend too, or at least start it. And I'm going to my Grandma's birthday in... somewhere that is not the city I am usually in. Which means I lose most of Saturday afternoon, and I know I probably won't get anything done Saturday night. And then I have the random Conference debriefing reflection thing, which will be happy and mindless and full of random bullshit. Next Thursday I have my "Portfolio Interview" (everybody "ooo" and "aah") so I have to have my portfolio all put together by Wednesday, including a final reflection where I talk about... something. And finally on Friday is our Musical Theatre presentation. Whatever, I'm an actor, I can deal with it. Spare rehearsals on Tuesday and Wednesday, Tech stuff and rehearsal on Thursday, Perform on Friday and it's all over and done with.

Funny how I don't mention tests in any of that. Oh well ¡Callame!
